Historic Hensol Castle In a peaceful setting surrounded by beautiful parkland, yet just five minutes from Junction34 of the M4, stands historic Hensol Castle.
A seat of royalist support during the civil war. A famous son was Sir Benjamin Hall who entered parliament in 1831 and demanded that the Welsh should have the right to conduct church services in their own tongue. During his period as "Chief Commissioner for Works" the clock tower of the Houses of Parliament was built and was named "Big Ben" after Sir Benjamin Hall who was a "towering figure".
