Historic Hensol Castle

In a peaceful setting surrounded by beautiful parkland, yet just five minutes from Junction34 of the M4, stands historic Hensol Castle.

An imposing family home since 1672, Hensol Castle has undergone many changes during its lifetime. 

A seat of royalist support during the civil war.  Owners of the castle have included Charles Talbot, Solicitor General, Lord Chancellor and "Earl of Shrewsbury and Baron Hensol".  Famous iron masters the Crawshays of Cyfarthfa and the Fothergills. 

A famous son was Sir Benjamin Hall who entered parliament in 1831 and demanded  that the Welsh should have the right to conduct church services in their own tongue.   During his period as "Chief Commissioner for Works" the clock tower of the Houses of Parliament was built and was named "Big Ben" after Sir Benjamin Hall who was a "towering figure". 

The ornate interior of Hensol Castle Conference Centre has been expertly restored to a high standard offering a flexible choice of rooms and suites for up to 100 people, requiring separate conference, exhibition, syndicate & dining facilities.  It is the ideal location for weddings and together with Blue Sky Training and Hensol Corporate Entertainment, it now hosts Team Building and Leadership courses  

Weddings for up to 150 guests are catered for.
